Kwarts Publishers assisted Chijika Ngonga and her editor, Sydney Kasanda with the publication of her book, Soaring on a Wing in 2016. We are so proud to announce that Chijika won the award in the Author Category of the Zambian Women of the Year Awards for 2017!
The Zambian Women of the Year Awards was first launched in 2015. Women were nominated based on their contribution to national development, mentorship, job creation and CSR. The public was able to nominate and vote for their best choice in the different award categories.
Chijika Ngonga is a self-made entrepreneur who rose from a tragic incident to victory through the transforming power of the word of God. Her purposed-filled life was birthed from recognising the anguish that people in similar positions who have no support structures go through after a tragedy. She established I-RAD (Initiative to Rise Above Disabilities) to impact people living with disabilities. She is also the Founder and owner of Heavenly Touch, an events management and décor company. Chijika is a mother of three and a diploma graduate of the Association of Business Executives.
