Africa has had many issues, ranging from hunger and political wars to many social ills that have tarnished its image globally. Only its natural resources like land, precious stones, wild animals and geographical sites begged admiration.
The poet relays his impression of events and issues that make life what it is. Areas such as love, relationships, biblical faith, politics and morals are expressed in profound artistic ways, with an excellent ability to evoke the visual.
Gatebi Wanjenga was born at Migaa in Kenya, on April 19, 1980. He attended Migaa Primary School, but it was at Magomano Secondary School that his love of literature manifested itself.
He currently works in the insurance industry, as a manager in his own consulting business, IBETAG BROKERS and lives in South Africa’s diamond city, Kimberley.
